About The Encouragers United Podcast

Encouragers United is high-octane positivity, with a Christian world-view. Optimism is the language and hope is the special ingredient added.

The content is inspiring because the good guys are making a positive difference in the lives of others. It’s one part interviews, another part solo teaching by Pastor Charlie Grimes, but all parts cheerful, upbeat and real.

Made for people who are high-energy and fun-loving, the goal is to bring a few minutes of warmth and happiness to listeners once a week.  

Set in Canton, OH in the present day, the world of Encouragers United is populated with many real life people, working as teachers, coaches, pastors and all shapes and sizes of gifted encouragers.

The Production

Encouragers United has been running since October 2018. Its first brand was called the “Christ-centered Athlete podcast”, and had over 1,000 downloads in more than 12 countries by the finale, and encouraged Christian coaches and athletes with biblical teaching and guidance for integrating faith and sport. Since then, we rebranded the show to it’s current vision, and its audience has continued to grow.

Encouragers United is a one-person production. It was created, and is maintained, written, hosted and produced by Pastor Charlie Grimes, former university faculty member, athletics coach, and administrator, in “Hall of Fame city” Canton, OH.

The Creator

Charlie Grimes is currently serving as the Administrative and Worship music pastor at Dayspring Christian Fellowship in Massillon, OH. He is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education and religious institutions. US Patent holder, and founder of 2 businesses. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Coaching, Athletics, Event Management, Musical worship and Volunteer Management. Strong community and social services professional with a Master's Degree focused in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University. 25 years of experience leading organizations in vision creation and implementation. Frequent speaker on topics of leadership, management, vision and motivation.

A self-identified “encourager”, Coach Grimes enjoys joining forces with individuals and organizations to problem solve, create and implement systems for efficiency and progress. He is a relational and action oriented leader, not afraid of change. ENFP, DiSC Influencer, Enneagram 7.
